Retroactive Accounting in HR -
The SAP HR system automatically recognizes changes to payment infotypes and triggers retroactive accounting, for example, after a salary change. Because of automatic retroactive accounting recognition, the R/3 System does not allow you to change the payroll results manually.
If you change HR master data in a period for which the payroll has already been run, the payroll must be run once again for this period using the current values. This is known as retroactive accounting.
